Myakka River State Park

200 Miles from Cocoa Beach is a place that goes back in time. Myakka River State Park is that place. With cabins built in the 30's, A Tree top canopy, and a 60 foot air-boat it is one of the most fun parks I've been to in Florida.

Just a stingray in the park

See if you can figure out the musical Reference above. Yes the lagoon isn't looking so good this morning but this stingray didn't seem to be upset about it.
These are some pretty smooth lines he's drawing.

The BOK Tower

This place is way cool. My esteemed colleague Mr. James MacLaren informed me on what a spectacular trip this would be months ago. He was right. This is a must see for all Floridians. There is three things involved here. Architecture. Foliage. And this spectacular view. And do me a favor please…..go the long way through Yeehaw Junction. Be careful on 60 that's a terrible road but be sure to go through the town of Frostproof. Pretty sure they don't get Frost much. This is the land of citrus groves and cow pastures.
About two hours later after leaving Cocoa Beach you'll come to the town of Lake Wales. That's where you'll find the BOK tower.

Check out Mr. James McLarens article about the Bok Tower here at this link
