My dad on the Pier in 1964

I was talking with some folks about surfing history last night over dinner and it got me to thinking about this shot of my Dad (Pat O'Hare) on the Canaveral Pier in 1964. Cool glasses and look at that slicked back hair. My dad was/is one cool cat!

My neighbor Brian Dowdall

Brian's a folk art painter.

I'm visiting Anahiem California for Expo West (A Natural Food Convention) and it was weird to run into Brian as he was working for the Imacculate Baking Company.

Check out the dog. Not only is he riding a wood board but he has a woody(the dog).

Cold Water Weirdness

We're 21 days or so away for the spring equinox but it's still unusually
cold for Florida and the waves have been sucking.
The freezing temps even have the River Otters acting weird.
I saw this one cruise in and out of the surf one day a few weeks back.
